In the great state of Texas in the north central region there lies among the flat open prairie land a metropolis known as the DFW Metroplex. A metropolitan area comprised of two major cities Dallas and Fort Worth, and all the surrounding cities; 12 counties in all with a population of over 6 million people. For those inhabitants of this metropolis, including myself, we are proud to call this home. What’s the attraction you ask, besides the climate, where I’ve seen roses bloom on Christmas day? Answer, a thriving economy, an above average job growth, and home to many Fortune 500 companies to name a few. The DFW metroplex has become a popular destination for many companies and individuals seeking better bottom lines and greater opportunities.
Dallas and Fort Worth have much to offer in quality of life. Culturally one could never tire of all that both cities have to offer, from the latest additions to the Dallas Arts District in downtown Dallas including the Winspear Opera House and Wylie Theatre to the Kimbell Art Museum and Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth. On the Culinary scene, it is a bottomless pit of restaurants and bars with every kind of cuisine ones taste buds could crave. There are numerous websites that give reviews to area restaurants.
You’re the outdoor type? Well, we have no mountains to climb but plenty of area lakes with walking paths and bike paths to keep you in shape. City dwellers can enjoy the 3.5 mile bike/walking path from Victory Park to Airline Dr known as the Katy Trail. Whitrock Lake has year round activities and beautiful surroundings including the Dallas Arboretum on its eastern shoreline. For serious boaters there are plenty of area lakes where you can enjoy skiing and boating!
In addition to offering a quality of life, the DFW Metroplex has excellent schools both public and private.
